State Requirements for Hairstylist Licensing in North Dakota

Otherwise, if you haven’t worked previously or elsewhere as a hairstylist, you must first fulfill certain requirements to become licensed in North Dakota. One, you’ll need to earn your education from a school with a 1,800-hour curriculum. Second, you’ll need to pass the state’s two cosmetology exams. At that point, you may submit an application to the North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology and receive your license.
