Before taking the exam you must complete a course or apprenticeship, they will fill out the written exam application with your help. You’ll need to send a copy of your transcript as well, and have a valid email address to use Prometric’s (the exam provider’s) scheduling system.
Prometric also runs the practical exam, which you can schedule upon successfully completing the written portion of the exam.
Once registered for either exam, you’ll need to show up to the exam with two valid forms of ID (one with a picture) as well as a Candidate Admission Letter from Prometric, which will be provided once you’ve completed your registration.
