State Requirements for Nail Technician Licensing in Nevada

  • Has completed 10th grade.
  • Six hundred (600) hours of combined theoretical and hands-on training from a reputable school.
  • Mandatory license renewal every two (2) years.

How Much Do Nevada Nail Tech Programs Cost?

The written portion of the exams will assess the examinee’s understanding of the following:

  • Antisepsis, sterilization, and sanitation.
  • Use of mechanical and electrical devices for nail-related services.
  • Nevada laws and regulations about cosmetology.

The hands-on portion of the exams will require its participants to bring the required equipment of their own to demonstrate several practical skills in nail technology, pedicuring, and/or wrapping or extending nails.
