State Licensing Exam

Students that pass the prerequisite training must complete the Nail Technician Application by Examination along with a current photo ID.

Upon completion of the said requirements, applicants must pass (minimum score of 75%) the computer-based written exam.

After completing the written exam, the next test is to pass (minimum score of 75%) the online Nebraska Cosmetology Jurisprudence Examination which covers the following:

  • Uniform Credentialing Act
  • Rules and Regulations relating to Cosmetology and Establishments
  • Statutes Relating to Cosmetology
